Keith Marshall, NTAA, ANIA, Tax Agent
Managing Director

Keith has over 10 years of experience in business management and administration in the retail, hospitality, human resources and community services fields, and over 7 years of experience preparing individual, partnership, trust and company tax returns. He has worked in both CPA and NIA public practices as a tax consultant and small business advisor, is a member of the National Tax and Accountants’ Association, National Institute of Accountants and is working towards his Diploma of Financial Planning. Also in his spare time he is currently studying his Masters in Professional Accounting.

Keith puts all of his in-depth experience, skill and knowledge together to provide AFSB clients and seminar attendees in Perth with the training and consulting they need for Budgeting, Business Strucutures, Taxation Planning, Cash Flow Management, Financial Management and Bookkeeping.
Keith works with MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero, FilePro and Cashflow Manager software, just for your added piece of mind and support.

Additionally, Keith is relentlessly committed to ensuring that all AFSB clients cover all there basis and is our in house Fringe Benefits Tax expert – this is one area that small businesses overlook! 

Ultimately, Keith’s mission at AFSB is clear and consistent: to provide individual and business clients with pragmatic, realistic and cost-effective ways to grow their small business today – and tomorrow.

When he isn’t managing, training and consulting for AFSB, Keith invests his time and talent with a number of not-for-profit organisations, and he is currently the co-convenor of the Fremantle Environmental Resource Network (Inc).

Peter Barrett, MNIA, ASA, Tax Agent, BComm 
Manager

Just because your business is considered “small” doesn’tmean that you don’t need sophisticated – yet very affordable – expertise when it comes to optimising, controlling and managing your Self Managed Superannuation Fund. Fortunately, Peter is AFSB’s in-house Self Managed Superannuation Fund expert – which virtually makes him your in-house expert, too!

Of course, Self Managed Superannuation Funds is just one of Peter’s many areas of expertise. For nearly a decade, he has worked in CPA, CA and NIA public practices as a tax consultant and small business advisor. And thanks to this extensive experience, Peter provides AFSB clients with training and consulting on MYOB, Cashflow Manager,and QuickBooks accounting software.

In terms of professional affiliations, Peter is a member of the National Institute of Accountants - The Australian Accounting Professional Association.

On a more personal note, when Peter’s not busy saving money for AFSB clients and helping their small business grow, Peter can be found at home with his wife, chasing around his 3 young kids.

Diane Wilson, PNA, NTAA, AdvDipAcc, GCertProfAcc
Manager

For years, small businesses have benefited from Diane’s renowned expertise in preparing tax returns for property owners. Indeed, as a keen and active property investor herself, and with over 10 years of experience as a public accountant and tax agent, Diane thoroughly understands what small business owners need to pay attention to – so they can minimise costs, maximise value, and safely and appropriately avoid penalties, delays, and other unwanted consequences.

Diane has cultivated a reputation for helping small businesses succeed, and giving them the big accounting firm services they want – without big accounting firm prices! She has a unique knack for building strong, honest and progressive relationships with new business owners, and giving them the tools they need to take their small business to the next level. Just some of the tools that Diane has extensive experience with include MYOB, Cashflow Manager and QuickBooks accounting software.

In addition to her management and client service work with AFSB, Diann is an owner in a local accommodation business, and has been involved in the ownership and running of a very successful retail food franchise.

Academically, she also holds a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting and for your added piece of mind, a Diploma of Financial Planning.

Fritha Tyson, AdvDipAcc
Accountant – Client Services Manager

Fritha is, according to her colleagues at AFSB and her clients, “a ray of shining light who is very hard working.”

Armed with both talent and a great work ethic, Fritha is dedicated to making life easier for AFSB clients, and is always willing to do what it takes to exceed client expectations.

In addition to studying for her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting and Financial Planning, Fritha is extremely well versed in MYOB.

When not helping AFSB clients or studying, in her limited spare time Fritha can be found wildly cheering on the Freo Dockers.
